Upgrading a communication suite

Project overview

In 2024, before the Jaguar rebrand, JLR recognized the need to modernize their customer email communications. While the existing suite stayed true to the timeless elegance of their classic brands, it fell short of delivering the polished, forward-thinking aesthetic that aligns with today’s digital expectations. The goal was to create a communication strategy that not only preserved the heritage and prestige of the brands but also infused a fresh, modern feel to better connect with a contemporary audience.

What did I do

As the lead UI designer on this project, I collaborated closely with the strategy team to identify overlooked opportunities and expand on the client's original brief. We began by analyzing their existing email communications and organizing them into clear, structured categories. A thorough understanding of the client’s email platform was critical, including its capabilities and limitations, to ensure our solutions were both functional and effective. I designed wireframes and developed a scalable design system, incorporating typography, color schemes, and spacing standards.
